Marketing Strategy to Attract Customers You Love

It’s Valentine’s week and it’s time to talk about love. Not the romantic couple love we are overloaded with right now, rather customers you love. We all have them sometimes we don’t have enough of them. Imagine having more customers that you love. They might be those that are easy to work with. Customers that you can connect with, who are grateful for your products and services and pay on time. Wouldn’t that be great?

The good news is you don’t have to work with people you don’t like. One proviso, you need to know how to attract your ideal customers. So here are some steps to help you do just that. Before you know it, you’ll be so loved up with your customers your working days will just fly by and I’m pretty sure your profits will increase as well. Have you ever noticed how your customer service is so much better with your favourite customers?  Let’s get started.

STEP 1

  • To attract your ideal customer you first need to have an idea of who your ideal customer is. Reflect on your current customer base and identify who you would consider your favourite customers. Is it the regular customers, the big spenders, the good payers what are some common characteristics? Write a list and get clear.

STEP 2

  • Once you are clear on who you are trying to attract, it’s important that you make sure that your product or service actually meets their needs. Do you have the right features for your ideal customer and can they buy from you in a way that is convenient to them.  Doing some market or customer research can help you tailor your products and services to ensure you hit the mark.

STEP 3

  • Gain a clear understanding of what in particular your existing customers or ideal customers like about your company, your product or service. If possible capture their words this will be very helpful in creating promotional material that will resonate.

STEP 4

  • Communicate what you’ve learnt from Step 3 in all your messaging. To work out where to promote your products and services using this messaging, identify online or offline magazines, news streams, movie channels, blogs, podcasts your ideal customer may listen to or watch. Incorporate their keywords in your website.

By following these four simple steps you will be closer to attracting your perfect match customer and when is a better time to start than now.
